VMware Showcases Vision for the Future of Cloud and Digital Business

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - August 15, 2016) - VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a global leader in cloud infrastructure and business mobility, today unveiled the speaker lineup and sponsorship list for VMworldŽ 2016 U.S.

Highlighting the conference theme of "be_TOMORROW," VMworld 2016 U.S. -- which kicks off on Aug. 28 in Las Vegas -- will feature more than 400 unique breakout sessions from VMware and its community of partners and customers. With more than 23,000 expected attendees, this year's conference is supported by more than 220 sponsors and exhibitors, including Global Diamond Sponsors Dell, EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel, NetApp and Palo Alto Networks.

VMware's General Session Keynotes, presented Monday and Tuesday, will feature senior executives who will bring to life VMware's approach to the software-defined data center that enables businesses to innovate freely across clouds and devices without constraints. On Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. PDT, the event will kick off with VMware CEO, Pat Gelsinger. Gelsinger will discuss VMware's industry perspective on digital business and the state of the cloud, as well as how VMware is empowering its customers to innovate in this new era of multiple clouds. On Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. PDT, VMware Executive Vice President and General Manager of End-User Computing and Global Head of Marketing & Communications, Sanjay Poonen, VMware Chief Technology Officer, Ray O'Farrell, and a group of senior executives across VMware business units will highlight how VMware is enhancing the user experience by simplifying the development, deployment and security of all apps, no matter where they're running as well as feature technologies and demonstrations aimed at further accelerating the software-defined data center.
