VMware Carbon Black Recognized as a 2020 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Endpoint Detection and Response Solutions (EDR)

Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice distinction is based on feedback and ratings from end-user professionals

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, today announced that VMware Carbon Black has been named a 2020 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.

In December 2019, VMware Carbon Black was recognized as a 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP).

“EDR and EPP are critical for success in the modern attack landscape,” said Patrick Morley, general manager for VMware Carbon Black, the company’s security division. “We believe being named a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice in both categories is excellent validation that our solutions and vision continue to deliver results.”

Gartner Peer Insights is a free peer-review and ratings platform designed for enterprise software and service decision-makers. To be named a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice, a vendor must have a minimum of 50 published reviews with an average overall rating equal or higher than the mean rating for that market. VMware Carbon Black’s EDR solution received a rating of 4.5 overall with more than half of respondents giving it five stars as of April 23, 2020.
